7100 Transportation of Dangerous Goods Train-The-Trainer (1 day)
Description:
This one-day course for those individuals responsible for training personnel in shipping, receiving, and transporting dangerous goods.
Course Objectives:
To provide employers:
- Certification to conduct in-house training
- Knowledge to develop a site-specific program to fulfill legislative requirements
Course Content:
- Review of the classification of controlled substances
- Applicable safety markings
- Required documentation
- Dangerous Occurrence reporting
- Review of the applicable legislation elements and requirements
Participants who successfully meet the course requirements will be issued a Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Train-the-Trainer certificate. Certification allows the trainer to conduct in-house training ONLY.
Re-certification is required every three years.
This program can be one of the four core courses required for the Certificate of Recognition (COR) Program
Prerequisites:
None.
Knowledge of WHMIS would be beneficial
